Coaching is a pretty special partnership, so I like to personally say hi before we begin our journey together.

What is your coaching approach?

The approach taken is to create an open and safe environment that’s conducive to curiosity and self-exploration. It’s a judgment-free zone where you are not told what to do.

The idea is to look at your problems and old patterns together. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques are also used to observe and help you reframe your perspective on things.

Focus on your language, i.e, how you talk to yourself and how it holds you back, is also a big focus. There is an emphasis on the unconscious/subconscious mind.

What can I expect from these sessions?

You can expect a relaxed environment that doesn’t have a rigid structure. It’s built for you and around you. So, for example, if you simply want to talk about different things explore what’s coming up for you through an explorative conversation that’s what we’ll do. If you’re open to exercises such as visualization and other NLP techniques that can be done as well.

As mentioned, the idea is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, heard and gently challenged without anyone giving you unsolicited advice. You are the master of your life, and these sessions simply help guide you to the answers that already exist within.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

In the context of this course, coaching is about focusing on the present and moving forward from the grip of our old patterns. It’s about connecting with yourself and coming up with your own solutions, and it doesn’t involve any treatment or diagnosis.

We utilize NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) tools such as visualization, and conduct exercises that help assist with self-reflection and gaining clarity in your thoughts. Awareness of language (i.e, how we talk to ourselves) is another important method used in coaching.

Psychological therapy is the practice of finding remedies for mental health problems, such as depression or trauma. The goal is to alleviate symptoms, and it must be done by a qualified professional.
